Driving back from I.F. with mom this weekend and it was scorching hot! We were just out of the Lava's when she brought up a memory so I thought I'd put it down.
Years ago, mom recalls it being a Labor Day Weekend, we were driving back from a day at Palisades. We ended up stuck in traffic on I-15 SO CLOSE to home, literally by the last overpass before our exit. Traffic was crawling, and actually coming to a standstill. Dad had the truck windows rolled down and we saw a guy next to us get out of his truck, climb in the back and get a drink from his cooler. Dad said, "Might as well, ya got the time!" He replied and brought us over a couple of sodas.
This brought up another memory, because of the location, in which there used to be an "unofficial" on/off ramp by the guy's house who had a hook for a hand (what is his NAME?!). Every once in a while we were lucky enough for dad to take that little off road ramp and we'd get home all the sooner. ~Ann
The name Tim comes to mind for the guy by the overpass, does that sound right to you?
